Collaborattive Design Sprint with GOOD
This was a Design Sprint done with GOOD Brand Consultants. It was a group-based project in which we got to design a brand for a hypothetical sustainable technology startup.

My group chose to focus on 3D printing with used plastics and recycle them into filaments for 3D printing. We noticed that many 3D brands are very corporate, robotic and quite cold so we decided to take a different approach and make a technology brand more approachable and friendly.

My role within the group was to design a logo for this brand - Flexy.
At first, I was going for a more playful and flowy design to reflect the name of the brand and the brand itself however we still wanted to make the brand reflect technology. Thus I designed a logo that would fit the technology market.

The F within the logo represents the first letter of the brand's name Flexy and the arrows around the letter symbolise the recycling process. Using negative space, I made the logo look more cubic than hexagonal and further represented 3D printing.
Below is the final logo design with the brand name and the tagline!

When designing the logo I made sure the spacing and sizing were consistent throughout to make the logo visually pleasing to look at. I also took advantage of the colours to make the logo look more 3D by having the brightest colour in the centre to make it pop out more against the darker colours around it.
To bring the logo to life, I created a short and simple animation of the logo.
